Brie, Fig, & Honey Holiday Cups
These delightful little appetizer cups are perfect for your holiday party or simply for snacking at home. They’re fail-proof crowd-pleasers and will make you look like a kitchen wizard to your guests without the daunting work. Rich, creamy brie, fig and honey for sweetness, pepper and thyme for the savory bite, and a touch of cinnamon that brings it all home. Effortless deliciousness is the name of the game here. Let’s get to it!
What You Need:
Pillsbury crescent rolls
Wheel of Brie
Fresh or dried figs
Fresh thyme
Ground cinnamon
Black pepper
Honey
Make It Happen:
Pre-heat oven to 375.
Grease muffin tin.
Remove crescent rolls and gently wrap each triangle into a muffin cup space — one triangle per cup. Make sure there is no exposed tin, pinch the dough together so that it covers the bottom and sides.
Cut the brie in half and then into ~1/4 inch strips perpendicular to the cut down the middle. This is not an exact science — just cut the brie so that there is a generous chunk in each pastry cup. (I leave the brine on, but that’s up to you - feel free to cut it off)
Roughly chop about 3-4 figs and add them over the brie in each cup.
Drizzle about a teaspoon of honey over the filling of each cup — again, not an exact science. You don’t want to saturate the cup, but you want enough to know it’s there.
Next, sprinkle the thyme, cinnamon, and black pepper onto each cup and pop in the oven!
Cook for 8 minutes.
Remove and let cool for 2-3 minutes.
Enjoy!!
