Game Day Cauliflower Wings
What You Need:
1 head of cauliflower
1 cup flour
1 cup panko bread crumbs
1 egg beaten
1/2 cup half and half or buttermilk
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
5-finger pinch of salt
1 tsp pepper
2 cups vegetable oil
Make It Happen:
Rinse, pat dry, and cut your cauliflower into florets.
Prep a medium-sized bowl with the flour, breadcrumbs, and spices.
Prep another smaller bowl with the egg and milk mixture.
Bring your pan to medium-high heat, add the vegetable oil and let it come to heat.
Coat your cauliflower florets in the egg wash and then the dry flour mixture until completely coated. Then add to the hot oil.
Let cook for 2-3 minutes each side or until golden brown and crispy.
Carefully remove with tongs and transfer to a paper towel lined plate — sprinkle with salt.
Prepare dipping bowls with buffalo sauce, ranch, or your favorite wing sauce. OR toss the caulis in the sauce (though I will warn, if you toss in the sauce you want to eat immediately or the caulis will not keep their crisp).
Enjoy my people!!
